Nvidia Shield TV expands to China with Nintendo Wii and GameCube titles including ‘Legend of Zelda’ and ‘Super Mario’

The Nvidia Shield TV is an awesome streaming box for entertainment, but it’s arguably better used for gaming. Between Android games and GeForce Now, the Shield is a great platform for gamers. In China, though, the Shield is getting even better with a selection of Nintendo titles.

Nvidia Shield TV (2015) gets updated to 5.0 w/ Android Nougat, Amazon Video, more [Updated]

Update: Nvidia has removed the Upgrade 5.0 release notes from the Shield TV (2015) and has added them to the listing for the newly release Shield TV. The original unit will still receive an upgrade to Android 7.0 but it might not be as soon as we thought.

At CES 2017 we got our first look at the brand new Nvidia Shield TV (2017) which brought with it Android 7.0 Nougat and a slew of new features. Shortly after, we received word that many of these new additions would make their way to the current Nvidia Shield TV (2015).

Starting today, Nvidia is rolling out the “Shield Experience Upgrade 5.0” to the older model of the set-top box, which brings with it Android Nougat, Amazon Video, and much more…

Marvel Heroes 2016 is now available free on GeForce Now for Nvidia Shield TV

Nvidia’s GeForce Now platform is a great way to play high-quality games on affordable, less powerful hardware like the Nvidia Shield TV. Recently, Nvidia raised the stakes with the addition of new Pascal-powered GPUs running the show, allowing for better performance, and even multiplayer games.

Today, Nvidia is announcing the first massive multiplayer game for GeForce Now: Marvel Heroes 2016.

Original NVIDIA Shield Tablet gets Marshmallow, K1 update fixes bugs & adds stylus support

After a voluntary recall of the first SHIELD Tablet, NVIDIA came back last fall with a refreshed and cheaper SHIELD Tablet K1. The K1 is receiving an update today that addresses bugs and adds back hardware functionality, while the original SHIELD Tablet is finally getting updated to Marshmallow.
