Google adds ‘Zero-touch enrollment’ for setting up enterprise Android devices at carrier level

Google, in recent years, has added enterprise features to Android to increase adoption by businesses. The latest is called “zero-touch enrollment” and allows companies to configure devices with preferences at the carrier level before employees even receive them.

Gboard 6.6 beta redesigns ‘Languages’ picker, simplifies setting alternate keyboard layouts

Following the rollout of sticker packs and their integration into the keyboard, the latest Gboard beta rolled out earlier this week. Version 6.6 most significantly redesigns the interface for choosing an alternate keyboard layout by merging it with a new simplified Languages picker.

Google app adds new high-level Notifications setting, currently provides alert for new Doodles

A server-side update rolling out to many users of the Google app today adds an interesting new Notifications page to settings. At the moment, the only option is to turn on notifications for Google’s homepage doodles, but nevertheless is quite notable for how high-level it is.
