LG quietly adds Marshmallow-powered K8 to its mid-range lineup

At CES last month, LG launched a couple of new K-series midrange smartphones with the aim to at least have a presence at the low end of the market. Design was almost identical between the K7 and K10, although specifications were slightly different. Without as much as a press release, it seems the company has now added another K-series phone which sits right in between those two.

T-Mobile reportedly planning to debut its own hardware starting with the mid-range REVVL T1

T-Mobile is no stranger to doing things a little differently and in the coming weeks, the company is apparently planning to launch a collection of self-branded Android smartphones to be sold on its network. The first device to debut as part of this series will apparently be the T-Mobile REVVL T1.

Upcoming Galaxy Alpha benchmark results leak, suggest full HD screen and octa-core Exynos chip in mid-range package

Value for money in the smartphone industry has never been as good as it is now. As OnePlus revealed last week, it’s possible to bring specifications which we’d have considered top-tier just 12-18 months ago and sell them in a device half the price of today’s flagship phones. Samsung, it seems, is keen to follow suit with the follow up to its Galaxy A5. Following the 3’s launch, OnePlus says it won’t make OnePlus X-like mid-range smartphones anymore

Amidst the myriad of (relatively) new Chinese smartphone manufacturers, OnePlus certainly has made itself distinctive. Be it for past questionable marketing campaigns, now-fortunately-gone, infamous invite systems or, all in all, good products, the company can claim to have a special flair to it.

However, to keep that “uniqueness trend” going, the company is seemingly ditching any further plans that saw it working on sequels to its mid-range OnePlus X

Huawei launches mid-range Nova and Nova Plus phones, MediaPad M3 tablet

Huawei has today launched the Nova and Nova Plus, two new entries into the Chinese company’s ever-growing portfolio of smartphones. These devices go without the special features and frills of many of the company’s other offferings, bringing modest mid-range specs at an affordable price more commonly associated with phones from Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor.
