Late-stage Google Capital growth fund renamed CapitalG, reveals investment in Snap Inc

While GV — formerly Google Ventures — is Alphabet’s more well-known venture capital arm, the parent company also runs a fund aimed at late-stage growth companies. Google Capital is now being renamed as CapitalG, with the new site revealing a previously unknown investment in the makers of Snapchat.

Google to open new headquarters in London with £1bn investment plan

The outcome of the UK referendum known as Brexit which saw the country opting for leaving the European Union earlier this summer surely created a bit of turbulence in the economic space, leaving more than a few companies in a state of uncertainty.

In spite of this, however, the country’s capital city still seems to be going strong, and Google appears to be ready to actually double down on its efforts there…

Kanye West begs Zuckerberg, Larry Page & tech execs for $1B investment in Twitter rant

it looks like that million offer from Martin Shkreli to exclusively acquire Kanye West’s new album wasn’t even in the ballpark. Today Kanye has taken to Twitter to publicly plead with tech execs for investments as the artist delays the release of his much anticipated album “The Life of Pablo” and cites million in personal debt.

GV leads $50 million investment into Soylent w/ Larry Page a fan of the meal replacement drink

Meal replacement company Soylent has raised  million in a Series B investment round led by GV. This is not the first food investment by Alphabet’s venture capital arm, though Google co-founder Larry Page is apparently a fan of Soylent’s powders and drinks.
