Samsung patent hints at updated Gear VR headset with position tracking and eye tracking

Even though Google’s new Daydream VR platform has impressed us, there’s still no doubt that Samsung’s Gear VR headset is one of the best on the market today, even if it only works with Samsung’s devices. However, it still faces many of the same issues that all other mobile VR platforms face, most notably the lack of position & facial tracking. However, now it seems that Samsung is working on adding that functionality to an updated version of its headset.

Google app 7.16 further details Assistant Routines & Podcasts, hints at Feed training, more [APK Teardown]

With every new update to the Google app, we’re learning more about Assistant Routines that can string together commands. Version 7.16 also details an expansion to the podcast functionality and feedback/training for Lens and the Feed. In terms of visible changes, Assistant for tablets is hinted at, while the Feed’s bottom bar sees a partial redesign.

Android N and VR hints – Is affordable virtual reality the future of Android?

Android N is on its way, and as each new Developer Preview is released, we get a clearer picture of what Google has in mind for its next (and future) versions of Android. One major, albeit fairly inconspicuous drive is one towards a mobile-based VR platform, but one that everyone can access. Google explains lack of in-app Feed and Upcoming tabs for some, hints at future update

While an A/B test of a new transparent homescreen pane is underway, other users still don’t have access to the most recent revamp of the Google app that added tabs. In a statement, Google has now provided an explanation, as well as hinting at a future update to remedy the discrepancy.

Galaxy Note 8: Samsung hints at ‘richer multimedia functionalities’ coming to the flagship

Despite already creating one of the most impressive smartphones of 2017, Samsung still has two big releases scheduled before the year is over – the Galaxy S8 Active and the Galaxy Note 8. HTC 10 lands on GFXBench as company hints at high-end performance

While its April 12 launch date is fast approaching, leaks for the HTC 10 won’t stop coming. Just as a tweet from HTC itself gives us a glimpse – or, rather, an ulterior confirmation – of the device’s front design, the highlighted word, ‘performance’, hints at a smartphone with great capabilities.
