First major upgrade to Google Street View cars in eight years promises higher-res images

Google revealed today that the Street View cameras that sit atop the roofs of vehicles that roam and catalogue the world have received a quality bump. While this results in higher resolution images, it also means better data for its image recognition systems.

YouTube launches its first original series’ and movies, featuring PewDiePie, Lilly Singh, AwesomenessTV and Rooster Teeth

YouTube has launched its first original movies and series’ exclusively for YouTube Red subscribers. In an aim to compete with the likes of Amazon and Netflix, YouTube has decided to play the subscription game, and give its paying subscribers a selection of content just for them. The first videos are now live, and have been developed in conjunction with some of the company’s best stars; Lilly Singh, Rooster Teeth, PewDiePie and AwesomenessTV.

Casio’s ultra-rugged WSD-F20 is the first new Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch, available in April

With the WSD-F10 last CES, Casio started the wave of rugged smartwatches running Android Wear. This year, the company is releasing a successor (via Digital Trends, now pulled) with minor design tweaks, a new low-power GPS sensor, and more offline functionality. More importantly, the WSD-F20 will run Android Wear 2.0 when it’s released in April.

New leaked Galaxy S7 image may be our first glimpse of an actual device

Samsug is preparing to show off its newest generation of smartphones at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain later this month, but now it appears we might have our first picture of what might be the Galaxy S7 in the flesh (via ReviewDao.vn).
