While many flagship smartphones have wireless charging built in as standard, LG opted against it with the G4. Unless you buy the company’s expensive and — in my opinion — unattractive Quick Circle case, you don’t get wireless charging. Motorola’s Moto Z was one of the more fascinating smartphones of last year, but as good as an idea as Moto Mods were, their potential was limited due to high prices and lack of compelling options.

LG smartphone w/ new wireless charging standard reportedly ready to launch, works at up to 7 cm distance

Wireless charging, while not as popular as it once was, is still one of the coolest features you can get on any smartphone. Google’s 5-inch Pixel maxes out at 15W charging, only the XL hits advertised 18W
