Lenovo ‘seriously thinking about’ a Yoga Book with Chrome OS

One of the highlights of IFA 2016 last week, at least from Lenovo, was the company’s very unique 2-in-1, the Yoga Book. Running your choice of Android or Windows, the Yoga Book brings a 10.1-inch display on one side, with a special touchpad which doubles as a keyboard on the opposite side. Lenovo has put a skin atop Android to let it take better advantage of the hardware, but at first glance, the Yoga Book seems better suited to run on Chrome OS, and apparently, Lenovo has the same idea…

Lenovo’s new Yoga A12 is a bigger, $299 version of the Yoga Book, available Feb 8th

There hasn’t been much excitement in the world of Android tablets, but one option that impressed us in 2016 was Lenovo’s unique Yoga Book. Featuring a custom Android build, futuristic “halo” keyboard, and capable hardware, it was an excellent machine. Now, the company has debuted a new variant of that laptop/tablet hybrid, the Yoga A12.

Lenovo confirms a Chrome OS powered Yoga Book is coming next year

Earlier this year Lenovo announced its futuristic take on the 2-in-1 tablet with the Yoga Book. By ditching physical keys for an entirely touch experience, the Yoga Book created something truly unique. Right now, you can get the Yoga Book with either Android or Windows, but many have asked for a Chrome OS model. Now, Lenovo is confirming that new variant for next year.
