Google investigating inconsistencies with Pixel’s Double-tap to wake, possible quick fix available

Especially with a rear fingerprint sensor, Double-tap to check your phone on the Pixel and Pixel XL was a highly requested feature. Added as part of December’s 7.1.1 update, many users have reported that the Move is quite inconsistent, with Google now investigating and working on a fix.

Sony Xperia X Compact now available on Amazon, Xperia XZ up for pre-order

Sony announced two new devices at IFA this year, the Xperia X Compact and the Xperia XZ. While the latter of the two is only available for pre-order right now, the Xperia X Compact starts shipping in the US today. If you’re waiting for the XZ, you won’t have to wait long as it will begin shipping on October 2 for 0.

Samsung has shipped half a million Note 7 replacements to carriers and retail stores in the US, available to the public tomorrow

In a video last week, Samsung confirmed that replacement Galaxy Note 7 units were coming and that they would be available “no later than September 21st”. Now Samsung has revealed that things are right on schedule with the first big shipment of phones arriving in the US and on their way to carriers and retail locations.

Uber is now available for Android Wear 2.0 with full standalone capabilities

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro now available in the US for $319

Although Samsung’s biggest releases of the year lie within the Galaxy S and Note series, the company still kicks out plenty of more affordable handsets in between its two major flagship launches. Samsung recently announced the Galaxy J7 earlier this week, and that phone has now made its way to the United States (with some minor spec upgrades) under the name of the Galaxy J7 Pro.
