5.7-inch Huawei Honor V8 could be available in 1080p regular and QHD ‘Plus’ models

We’ve read (and written) about the Honor V8 handset a couple of times over the past few weeks. Huawei’s sub-brand is expected to unveil the budget-friendly high-end phablet at an event next week, and it could be the first Honor phone to be equipped with a dual camera system, similar to the setup on the more premium Huawei P9.

Initial leaks and online listings suggested that the Honor V8 would come with a Quad HD screen (another first for Honor), but we’ve been doing a little digging on TENAA and discovered another model of the same phone with a lower resolution screen, less powerful processor and less storage.

It looks like the LG G6 with its 5.7-inch display won’t be any bigger than the LG G5

With MWC right around the corner, one of the releases we’re really getting excited about is the LG G6. With waterproofing, Google Assistant, and a new UI in tow, it seems like LG is going to hit a home run. Our sole concern so far has been the size of the phone, with LG confirming a 5.7-inch display on the device. With new leaks, though, those concerns have been put to rest.

LG announces 5.7-inch QHD+ display w/ 18:9 aspect ratio for its ‘next flagship smartphone’

With LG in decline due to its mobile division, the company is attempting a turnaround with its upcoming G6. In an interesting move, LG Displays has announced a 5.7-inch QHD+ LCD panel that will be supplied “to LG Electronics for its next flagship smartphone this year.”

Rumored Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will reportedly have a 5.7-inch dual-curved display

We’ve been following rumors claiming that Samsung is planning on launching a phablet-sized Galaxy S6 Edge—starting with a report from Italian blog HDBlog and then images leaked by YouTuber MKBHD—and today the story continues with new information from SamMobile.

The Samsung-focused blog is reporting on new information from “insiders” that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will sport a 5.7-inch display, not unlike the Note 4, and run Android 5.1.1 out of the box. Initial rumors pointed to a 5.5-inch display, but that information has seemingly since changed. more…
